The committee on Roads & Transportation moves to amend the bill on page 2, section 7, line 10, by striking all of section 7 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"17C-10-7 Penalty for pedestrians violating the provisions of this article.
A pedestrian who violates a provision of this article is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars; upon a second conviction within one year thereafter, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars; and upon a third or subsequent conviction, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars."
